Data We Collect

• Customer ID (Shopify identifier) — stored to track discount usage and respond to data requests.
• Customer email address — used transiently to send the welcome discount email. Not stored in our database.
• Marketing consent status — checked before sending any email. Only customers who opted in receive discounts.

Purpose of Data Processing

We process customer data solely to send personalized welcome discount codes to new subscribers who have opted into marketing emails. No data is used for profiling, advertising, or shared with third parties.

Data Retention

Discount records (containing only the customer ID and discount code) are automatically deleted 90 days after the discount expires. Audit logs are retained for 1 year (3 years for compliance-related events).

Customer Consent

We respect customer marketing consent decisions. Only customers who have opted into marketing emails (SUBSCRIBED status) receive welcome discount emails. If a customer has not subscribed, no discount is created and no email is sent.

Data Deletion

Customer data is automatically deleted when requested through Shopify's standard data request process. When your store is uninstalled, all associated data is permanently deleted within 48 hours.
